The photo shows a group of students who are pursuing their high school studies in Wisconsin did a Nazi salute based on their arm gestures. This has evoked investigation by the police besides stirring up the criticism from Holocaust memorial group.
The photos of the students who are studying in the Baraboo School District were posted on account of @GoBaraboo with a caption, “We even got the black kid to throw it up.” This picture was tagged with this hashtag “#Barabooproud.” Now, both the police officials, along with the school authority are looking into the issue.

The students are making the abusive kind of gestures in the last spring was not captured in the premises of the school or in the event that was conducted by the school. The whole district is saddened with this photo where teens hold proms. The local authorities also are putting equal efforts to investigate the photo.
The school authority has sent a letter to the parents of the students who are in the photo. The school district is also carrying out a full-fledged investigation about the situation along with the parents and school authorities. If the gesture made by the students intentionally, then the district would take appropriate legal actions on the students.
The head of the schools stated that they are trying to maintain harmony in the school besides offering a safe environment for students and staff to work. The police of Baraboo is working closely with the district to investigate the controversial photo.

The Baraboo School District is located 40 miles away from Madison with 3,000 students. However, not all students in the photo had raised the gesture. One of the students named Jordan blue has not raised the photo, despite the photographer asking to do so, since he found it be offensive.

Blue found the gesture to be uncomfortable. The Auschwitz Memorial Twitter page was one of the Twitter groups that has a backlash on the photo with the teenagers making hatred gestures. The organization opined that it is one’s responsibility to educate students on the dangers of a hateful ideology.
The ACLU stated that it is the equal responsibility of the school to nurture schools and create a safe environment. Everyone is urging the Baraboo school district to investigate the issue and take the right measures to help students take anti-bias training. The photographer, Pete Gust apologized for hurting the sentiments and emotions of people.
